Sherrie McCarthy is a 1999 graduate of a 500+ hour nationally accredited massage therapy program at Potomac Massage Training Institute (PMTI), Washington, D.C. where she completed training in Swedish, deep tissue, and trigger point techniques; additional courses include Thai yoga massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, massage for seniors and elderly, massage for pregnant women, and massage for hospice patients. She is state licensed in both Maryland and Virginia as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), and is certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Also certified in First Aid and CPR training. Other Education includes completion of M.A.A., Applied Anthropology, 1993, University of Maryland at College Park.
